VP Pence again declares support for Blackburn

Vice President Mike Pence, who had already donated to U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn through his political action committee last year, on Monday sent out a tweet declaring he supports her bid for a U.S. Senate seat. The Blackburn campaign produced a press release and the Times Free Press says Pence effectively “doubled down” on backing Blackburn.

Brentwood, Tenn.-  Today, Vice President Mike Pence announced his endorsement of Marsha Blackburn for U.S. Senate, building on his previous support.

Vice President Mike Pence tweeted, “PROUD to support our friend @VoteMarsha for US Senate representing Tennessee. Marsha Blackburn is a rock-ribbed conservative who has been a champion of President Trump’s pro-jobs, pro-military, AMERICA FIRST agenda & will be critical ally in the Senate. She has our full support!”

“Vice President Pence is a distinguished conservative leader, and I am grateful for his endorsement,” added Marsha Blackburn. “When the Vice President served in the House of Representatives, we worked to advance conservative policies. His strong leadership continues in the White House. I appreciate his advice and friendship as we share our message with Tennesseans. I look forward to continuing to work with him to pass President Trump’s agenda in the United States Senate.”

As Politico reported in November, Pence has already been supportive of Blackburn’s campaign citing her “steadfast” support of the White House.
