NASHVILLE — Nashville, Tennessee-based Ramsey, Farrar & Bates, LLC, announces that the firm is rebranding as Ramsey, Farrar, Russell & Smith. The group is also promoting Addison Russell, Matt Russell and Ross Smith to principals, joining founders Ron Ramsey and J. Russell Farrar.

Addison Russell joined the firm in 2016 after serving as research analyst for the Tennessee Senate’s State and Local Government Committee under Chairman Ken Yager, and as legislative director for the Department of Commerce and Insurance.

Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Matt Russell ran several campaigns across the state. He also served in multiple roles with the Tennessee Senate, including research analyst to the Transportation and Safety Committee under Chairman Jim Tracy.

Ross Smith, a skilled attorney and lobbyist, joined the firm in 2016 and has significant experience representing local governments and agencies.

“I am proud to introduce Addison, Matt and Ross as named principals,” says Farrar. “Each member of our governmental relations team brings valuable legislative experience, knowledge and capability to the work we do on behalf of our clients, and they have played an integral part in our success.”

Ramsey, Farrar, Russell & Smith represents clients in governmental relations, business development, crisis management, lobbying, public policy and regulatory solutions. The firm represents a multitude of clients covering issues such as health care, local government, nonprofits, education, business, procurement, retail, public safety and more.

“This transition is a better reflection of the breadth and depth of our group,” Ramsey says. “I have enjoyed working with Addison, Matt and Ross, and look forward to their future with the firm.”

Some of them will sell our souls for money when they are about to retire. Again

The conservative bribers that be…Anybody know if any of them are connected to Phoenix? There is such a fine line in Tennessee between lobbying and outright bribery.

The company added new principals but not any new “principles.”

Marsha, you’re done. I just want to be able to say this to as many people as possible. It’s over. Time to hit the house and retire. I know it does t directly relate, but some of these ‘principals’ have done very similar things

OOOOOO Phil. Now you have poor Marsha (Heritage-85%) shaking in her boots. Let’s see, last time she ran against just about the wealthiest and one of the few sane individuals in the Tennessee Democratic Party she received 55% of the vote. So in 2024 are you saying that against the typical unattractive middle-class Democratic candidate she won’t break 60%? Thanks for letting us know Phil. That would be disappointing.

It’s different this time. The tethers are broken. I do not care if she is shaking or not. The next Primary will be real work

I can’t think of any reason why anyone would like to have her stick around – maybe she could get a job with the new “expanded lobbying firm” since they hire old conservative republicans who can’t find any other work.

Just checkout the comments on Breitbart. What should be her home base is moving her dow the road-hard. Marsha at be one of the first political casualties of “we have finally had enough”.

I did saw that on the Breitbart.

I pray Bill Lee is recalled and replaced with Kid Rock. Then Marsha Blackburn will be forced to resign. Kid Rock will then appoint Marjorie Taylor Green as the next US SENATOR from Tenn.

We would get some stuff done then. More fairness and average -person representation. Kid Tock and Greene have proven they won’t lie.

The thought that Marsha, after her impressive victory in 2018, will be seriously challenged in the Republican Primary of 2024 much less defeated is one of those laughable flights of fancy that bored political junkies can imagine in the winter of an odd numbered year four years away from the election. Conservatives should rather turn their attention to the Republican primaries of 2022 which is our next chance to make the Republican Party fit for purpose.
