Former Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, who has been actively backing Diane Black in the Tennessee gubernatorial campaign, has now endorsed Marsha Blackburn in the U.S. Senate campaign.

Press release from Marsha Blackburn campaign

Brentwood, TN –  Today, former Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey announced his endorsement of Marsha Blackburn for U.S. Senate. He joins Lieutenant Governor Randy McNally and a majority of Republican state Senators who announced their support last week. Ramsey’s endorsement is another clear sign that Tennesseans from across the state are rallying behind Blackburn for Senate.

Former Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey tweeted“I’m proud to support my good friend @VoteMarsha and join grassroots supporters that make up #TeamMarsha. We fought the state income tax together and I know that she will take that same conservative spirit to put Tennessee first all the way to the U.S. Senate. I #StandWithMarsha.”

“Ron Ramsey is a conservative champion, and I am honored to earn his endorsement,” added Marsha Blackburn. “I’m grateful for Ron’s continued friendship and his advice, as we take our campaign to the Tennessee families he served so faithfully. In the Senate, I’ll fight for the same Tennessee values Ron safeguarded in the General Assembly and as our Lieutenant Governor.
