Lottery: Disciplinary action against Action 24/7 is ‘null and void’

The Tennessee Education Lottery Corp. has written a letter declaring its unprecedented suspension of the Action 24/7 sports gaming license to be “null and void.”

The letter comes after a judge in April reversed the Lottery board’s decision to halt all betting with Action 24/7 after it self-reported instances of debit card fraud on its platform. The sportsbook is run by executives of short-term loan company Advance Financial.

The letter acknowledges Action 24/7 has proper internal controls and that there is no active investigation being conducted into its practices. Action 24/7’s license is unrestricted, and it can freely transact with vendors and parties, according to the letter.

“The temporary suspension of Action 24/7’s License, and the disciplinary action undertaken… related to the allegations presented by the TEL Staff to the Board at the Board’s March 19, 2021 meeting, are null and void,” the letter says.

RE: Status of the Sports Gaming Operator License of Tennessee Action 24/7, LLC

To whom it may concern:

This letter concerns the status of the Sports Gaming Operator License (“License”) of Tennessee Action 24/7, LLC (“Action 24/7”). On March 18, 2021, Action 24/7’s License was temporarily suspended on the basis of alleged deficiencies involving Action 24/7 internal controls. On March 19, 2021, at an emergency meeting of the TEL Board (“Board”), the Board ratified the temporary suspension of Action 24/7’s License. On March 26, 2021, the Chancery Court of Davidson County, Tennessee, ordered TEL to reinstate Action 24/7’s License, and TEL reinstated Action 24/7’s License that same day.

By this letter, the Board, the Spo1is Wagering Committee of the Board (“SWC”), and the TEL Staff hereby represent and confirm that, as of the date of this letter:

1. There is currently no active investigation of Action 24/7 being conducted by any of the Board, the SWC, or the TEL Staff regarding the allegations presented by the TEL Staff to the Board at the Board’s March 19, 2021 meeting or the adequacy of Action 24/7’s internal controls.

2. Action 24/7’s internal controls and Action 24/7’s implementation thereof meet the requirements found in the Minimum Internal Control Standards.

3. Action 24/7’s License is fully effective; there are no restrictions on Action 24/7’s License; and Action 24/7 is in good standing with TEL.

4. The temporary suspension of Action 24/7’s License, and the disciplinary action undertaken by any of the Board, the SWC, or the TEL Staff related to the allegations presented by the TEL Staff to the Board at the Board’s March 19, 2021 meeting, are null and void.

5. Action 24/7 is entitled to the full use and benefits of its License, including, but not limited to, the ability to freely transact with other TEL licensees and vendors or other parties.

Sincerely,
/signed/
Alonda W. McCutcheon
Executive Vice President & General Counsel

And while we are on the subject, I distinctly remember many a Williamson County Republican function when the proceedings simply could not start without my good friend Glen Casada reciting the introductory prayer. It is so painful to read these baseless accusations against Glen that surely are a misinterpretation of private conversations which shouldn’t be public in the first place.

If stupid Liz Cheney (Heritage-80%) could just have kept her mouth shut she could have the dumb job, be in Republican leadership, and probably not face a primary next year.

The only reason Chip is running because as the great conservative that he is he couldn’t stand to see Stefanik (Heritage-48%) stroll in without a fight forcing conservatives to vote for her. Trump, of course, is unconscionable. Stefanik voted AGAINST Trump’s major accomplishment in his administration the 2017 Tax Cuts and Job Act. She co-sponsored a pathway for “Dreamers” and amnesty – the USA Act. She voted AGAINST funding the border wall. She voted AGAINST Trump’s lawsuit to fight Obamacare. She voted to override Trump’s ban on transgender troops. She voted FOR the far-left “Equality Act” that interferes with faith based organization’s ability to practice their faith. She voted FOR the radical Climate Action Now Act and to ban drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. She voted AGAINST overturning D.C.’s aggressive abortion law. . .

You are unable to distinguish between the outspoken frankness that civilians in a fee country can use and the more nuanced, diplomatic language a politician has to use in the hopes of attracting and keeping a broad coalition of people on his side. Perhaps that isn’t true of a country like Israel, Fourth Republic France or Italy where you have a dozen or so parties and post-election coalitions are an understood part of governing but in a country of 335+ million people all of whom have to wedge themselves into two parties if they want a say in who governs that’s the way it is and its best to accommodate yourself to that fact.

In the case of politicians I understand why an Elise Stefanik can’t be a Stuart Anderson conservative and hope to get elected in upstate New York (I just don’t think she needs to be in the Republican leadership). You have been giving money to people who are Trumpidians for the sake of tribal politics and re-election as the be-all and end-all.

Cheney supported the lie of the Trump tax cuts and she is someone who thinks military spending with all its waste, needs to increase in a never ending upward trajectory. This hurt most moderate income New Yorkers in her district. So she represented their interests and voted against the Tax Bill which was sold with a pack of lies, which allowed the wealthiest to wallow in existing loopholes, and which failed to create any reform that would have the uber-wealthy paying anything like their fair share.

I particularly regret that conservatives in the Party responded to the Stefanik insult in such an anemic way.

Every day Jim Jordan sends me an e-mail begging me for money. Today I expressed my outrage to the House Freedom Caucus about this anemic response to Stefanik. Tomorrow I think I’ll do so again to my buddy Jim Jordan. They passed a tax bill they erroneously sold a “Reform”. There was no reform in it at all.
Small business, one of Republican’s new favorites, is responsible for underpaying their taxes in an amount equal to the money collected from the 150 Million households who do pay taxes….so says one of the former IRS big shots citing this as a 2019 stat that is typical of most years.

Republicans rewarded this group with tax reduction not afforded to earners who get a W-2. Is that “moving to the right”? The party under Trump is now more Tribal, more isolationist, less tolerant, more vindictive (that’s what SALT removal was all about), more cultist, and far less anchored by principle or ideology, or ideas.

Stop trying to stretch your imagination, it will warp your brain, if it has not done so already.

Your fantasizing again Taxpayer. You’ll never become a conservative until you have a better grasp of reality. Such a grasp is one of the prime requirements of being a conservative.

“. . .you seem to think he would be OK this time around.” please cite what I said that makes you say that. I don’t for one minute believe anyone in his mid-seventies will be any different “this time around” than he has been over the recent past baring medical or mental breakdown. As I have done so often in the past, I ask you Taxpayer why do you think you can read the minds of people you have never met assuming you can’t find anything I said about my expectation of Trump changing? It’s really odd.

Finally your loosy-goosy manner of capitalization when writing has finally tripped you up. Republicans may be unenthused about a “Democratic Republic” but are all for a “democratic republic.” There is a difference.

David, general elections boil down to two choices and unless you want to be in the nowhere land of third party politics you pick the best choice. Insofar as your friends in the Democratic Party want to continue to move to make this an uninteresting and poorer democratic socialist republic, of course, freedom loving, free market libertarian conservatives will vote Republican whatever shortcomings the Republican candidate may have. You vote for the corrupt demented Big Guy, I vote for Trump, it ain’t pretty but that’s democracy.

Stuart, read that last line…”You vote for the demented Big Guy (sic), I vote for Trump, it ain’t pretty, but that’s democracy.

Sorry Taxpayer there is nothing there about Trump being any different “this time around” than he was the last time around. If Trump runs again in 2024 it will be exactly the same Trump as existed in 2016 and 2020. There will be the Trump we all know so well and there will be some far left Democratic opponent. Trump will be no more “OK” to me in 2024 than he was in the past. As a conservative, I will of course have to vote for him because the Democrat will be so unacceptable. Same ole – Same ole, I never think in terms of Trump changing a bit or anyone like Trump being OK with me EVER.

You voted for him once and he turned out to be a disaster, you admit that yet you have no plans to change anything about your vote. You will knowingly vote for a second disaster to hit our country and perhaps do away with our democracy entirely this time, yet still think of yourself as a patriotic American. Sorry buddy, that is just wrong. I was not implying Trump would change, we all know he won’t. I just can’t understand all the Trump supporters that are ready to dive into the Trump meat grinder once again. They learned nothing, just like you. You do realize that all three top GOP party leaders at the moment ALL voted to overturn the election and believe that Trump has a vital role in the upcoming election. “As a conservative, I will, of course, have to vote for him again” seems like a zombie talking and your choice of party is why it is diminishing in numbers every day. This type of idiot logic is how we wound up with Trump in the first place. Unbelievable!

            Stuart I. Anderson says:

No, I said nothing about a “disaster.” He was better than Hillary because for four years we didn’t move toward being an uninteresting social democratic republic as we are moving right now as I type. What we are experiencing currently is a “DISASTER.” Worse spending than even under Trump, despotic Cultural Marxism running wild in every institution, our southern border becoming a fiction, and a breakdown in law and order. Admittedly Trump and the tall grass dwelling Republicans didn’t do anywhere near enough to reverse these trends but at least they certainly stepped on the brake for four years.

I want to do better than Trump in 2024 and I have been funding the SIA Evangelical Conservative Presidential PCF since 2016 in order to bring that improvement about. What happens is up to Melania and the majority of voters in the 2024 Republican primaries. As to your question which boils down to “how can anyone be a Trumpidian” I’m afraid I can’t help you there.

This weekend, CNN is airing a special based on the narrative that the GOP has turned from an otherwise respectable party to a “radical” one. “A Radical Rebellion — The Transformation of the GOP — A Fareed Zakaria Special” will air Sunday, May 16.

Zakaria is the author of the bestselling book The Post-American World. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Guess it will be a hatchet job against true constitutionists. Of course they probably will throw in a few NeoCons and call them ‘conservatives’ or constitutionalists…

In the 3 1/2 Lamars Retirement Project over in North Carolina it appears conservative support is coalescing around Ted Budd (Heritage-99%) who is running in the Republican primary for the nomination to replace retiring Richard Burr (Heritage-65%) . Today it was announced that Ted has the endorsement of the Senate Conservatives Fund to go along with his previous endorsement from the Club For Growth. That’s a 99%er replacing a 65%er. Just the thought of it makes you sort of giddy doesn’t it?

      MARLE says:

No it doesn’t b/c he will fall in line as soon as he gets there. Didn’t liberal Stefanik get with the program? They all do. They will be like marsha who wants 20M illegals to remain here while we spend 10K per yr educating their children. Or they will be like green who hasn’t anything but praise for Trump and the Big Lie.

Republicans don’t even stand on any principles anymore; they only stand in front of rolling cameras. That, they believe, is all it takes. Create a circus and jump in front of a camera touting the Big Lie. This is where the Cult of Personality has gotten Republicans.

No one is “moving rightward’. You are throwing you money away if that’s what you think it’s buying.

All devotees of “On the Hill” anxiously await MARLE’s first positive suggestion as to what we, as individual conservatives, should do to stop the slide of this country off the cliff. I say use our resources to move the Republican Party RIGHTWARD, RIGHTWARD, RESOLUTELY RIGHTWARD. James wants us to be sure and vote then sit by our TV’s holding our breath to see whether our third party candidate actually gets a whole number percent of the total vote. OK MARLE, what’s your suggestion?

Stuart is desperately seeking input from other conservatives to make suggestions as to how the party can move forward…anybody out there got any ideas??? Hello, anybody out there still interested in this type of nonsense??? That sounds like a great party that might, maybe, perhaps have a Big Tent, because a few people may have WOKE UP and left the tent, shaking their head as they walked away from this nonsense leaving more than a few open seats in the “Big-ish Shrinking Tent.” Already flinging the old “Third Party Candidate” option out there for consideration. Surely not that trump fool again! Do they have anybody that is not under FBI investigation at the moment that might be able to pull something together that wouldn’t embarrass the Party? Stay tuned, the GOP is in the process of updating and polishing their spin.

Stuart, I have never said to sit by the TV and wait for the third party candidate to win. I know they will not win in today’s uneducated mass of voters.
But I can sleep at night knowing I voted for who I want to WIN, and that I did not vote for someone that will say they will move the country to the ‘right’ but does Not.

As for Stefanik, she was a typical worthless New York Republican from the start. Nelson Rockefeller, Jacob Javits, John Lindsay. . .good grief what a pedigree! She took office during the 2015/16 114th Congress. Her Heritage scores in the four congresses she was a part of are 29%, 24%, 56%, and in this congress she has vaulted up to an 84% for a current lifetime score of 48%. All Republican scores are up during this congress because the Democrats are forcing votes on every nutty idea they can think of, ideas that are even too nutty for the Republicans in upstate New York.

She didn’t get with any program. She was with the program from the start. It’s unthinkable to put anyone like that in leadership. Thankfully she committed to only serve one term – two years.

Stuart will accept any dregs that wants to lead the party and will tell you, as stated above, that “it is unthinkable to put anyone like that in leadership. Thankfully, she committed to ONLY SERVE one term-two years.” Now that is what passes for todays’ leadership and improvement in the GOP.

It is beyond belief how anyone can use any type of logical thinking and come out at the end actually deciding to vote for a person like Trump. There is no doubt about his character, his beliefs, his honesty, his loyalty to friends or family and most of all his deviant and subversive thinking. Nothing is below him. Even as the lesser of ALL evils, he is to be avoided at all costs – and those costs will be extremely high to our country and the world, as we have already seen.
