The latest crop of specialty license plates is here
Tennessee has more than 100 specialty license plates available to vehicle owners. Under a bill headed for the Senate floor, the state would get 22 more.
Here’s the list of proposed new plates advanced by the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday:
- Antique Auto.
- Blood Donors.
- Fighting for At-Risk Youth.
- Friends of Shelby Park and Bottoms.
- Germantown Charity Horse Show.
- Green County School System.
- Jackson State University.
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
- Knights of Columbus.
- Korean Defense Service.
- Legion of Merit.
- Linemen Power Tennessee.
- Memphis Tennis.
- Operation Inherent Resolve.
- Order of The Eastern Star.
- Service Dogs.
- Sevier County Partners in Progress Education Foundation.
- Somalia Era Veteran.
- Tennessee Voices for Victims.
- University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
- Whitehaven High School.
- Women Veterans of Color.
The bill would also extend to July 1, 2020, the deadline for the new specialty earmarked license plate for Martin Luther King Jr. and the Niswonger Children’s Hospital to meet the issuance requirement of 1,000 plates.
