Haslam closes state offices in West and Middle TN

NASHVILLE – Due to hazardous weather and travel conditions, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has closed state offices on Friday, January 12, 2018 in West and Middle Tennessee, to include the following counties:

Bedford

Benton

Carroll

Cheatham

Chester

Clay

Crockett

Cumberland

Davidson

Decatur

DeKalb

Dickson

Dyer

Fayette

Fentress

Gibson

Giles

Hardeman

Hardin

Haywood

Henderson

Henry

Hickman

Houston

Humphreys

Jackson

Lake

Lauderdale

Lawrence

Lewis

Lincoln

Macon

Madison

Marshall

Maury

McNairy

Montgomery

Moore

Obion

Overton

Perry

Pickett

Putnam

Robertson

Rutherford

State offices in all other counties not listed above will remain open. Additionally, some agencies have facilities/offices in the listed counties that have “mission critical employees” who have life, health and/or safety responsibilities that may need to report to work or remain at work during the closures.

All state employees and citizens are urged to exercise caution when traveling today.
