Blackburn reserves $1 million worth of ad time on Fox News

Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s U.S. Senate campaign has reserved $1 million worth of ad time on Fox News between April 27 and the primary election on Aug. 2.

Campaign adviser Ward Baker says in a memo that it was key to reserve the premium statewide inventory during the 14-week ad run now because of the crowded field of candidates in the governor’s race and various congressional contests will drive up demand for limited airtime.

Blackburn faces former U.S. Rep. Stephen Fincher in the GOP primary to succeed Republican Sen. Bob Corker, who is retiring. Former Gov. Phil Bredesen is running for the Democratic nomination.

RE: MARSHA FOR SENATE MEDIA PLACEMENT ACTIVITY

This memorandum outlines media placement activity on behalf of the Marsha Blackburn for Senate campaign in the key Tennessee media markets. Please know that as of today, February 6, 2018, the Marsha for Senate campaign has reserved approximately $1 million in air time on the major cable operators and MVPDs in all major and small market across Tennessee. The inventory reserved spans a fourteen week period: April 27, 2018 – August 2, 2018. We have reserved premium inventory within the highest rated programs for GOP Primary voters on Fox News Network. With competitive races at the gubernatorial and congressional level demand for such inventory will be at an all time high.
