Black uses Trump tweet praise for fundraising

President Donald Trump on Friday sent a tweet praising U.S. Rep. Diane Black. She promptly turned it into a fundraising effort for her gubernatorial campaign.

The Trump tweet: “Diane Black of Tennessee, the highly respected House Budget Committee Chairwoman, did a GREAT job in passing Budget, setting up big Tax Cuts.”

The tweet is repeated in the Black fundraising email, followed by this text:

As Chairman of the House Budget Committee, I have had the opportunity to work side by side with President Trump to pass a conservative budget and lay out the groundwork for much-needed tax cuts for working people and businesses across the country.

I’m proud to have worked with the President on this budget, and I look forward to working with him as our state’s next governor.

If you haven’t already joined our team, or shown your support with a donation, I’ll ask you again — join us!

Stand with President Trump and with me. Donate today and help us elect conservative leadership in Nashville. (Note: The latter line has a link for contributions to Black’s gubernatorial campaign.)

Blessings,

Diane Black
