What does the polling in the Blackburn-Bredesen race mean?

Democratic candidate Phil Bredesen and Republican candidate Marsha Blackburn speak at the 2018 Tennessee U.S. Senate Debate at Cumberland University Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, in Lebanon, Tenn. (Lacy Atkins/The Tennessean, pool)

Fresh off an online CBS poll that had Republican Marsha Blackburn leading Democrat by 8 percentage points, a New York Times poll showed her with a 14-point lead. But a new fundraising appeal by the Senate Conservatives Fund on Friday puts Blackburn’s advantage at a comparatively paltry 2 points.

So what gives? Is the group led by Ken Cuccinelli II underplaying the advantage held by Blackburn to keep the money flowing? Or are the CBS and NYT polls outliers? As the old saying goes, the only poll that matters is on Election Day. Early voting starts on Wednesday.

Fellow Conservative:

Several battleground Senate races are too close to call. According to the average of all public polls …

Ted Cruz (R-TX) leads by 6 points.

Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) leads by 2 points.

Josh Hawley (R-MO) is TIED.

Matt Rosendale (R-MT) trails by 3 points.

Mike Braun (R-IN) trails by 4 points.

Patrick Morrisey (R-WV) trails by 9 points.

We can win all of these races, but we need every conservative in the nation to take action right now.

It means that no matter how you slice or dice it, Marsha is the winner. And some of this was before the Dem outrage at supporting Kavanaugh and the general outrage at being labeled ignorant as you’re being lied to by the Bredesen crowd.

Marsha must overcome the “slime” from the swamp “dimms” and hold the senate seat for conservatives.

The funny part about this election is where democrats have been fooled into spending money on Senate races in Tn and Texas they were always going to lose.

When, and only when, they figure out not everyone hates Trump as much as they do they might be able to move forward.

And remember her promises when she gets to Washington DC. Build the wall, defund Planned Parenthood, protect our borders, kill Obamacare, and bring our jobs back. We will remember. MAGA!

  • Michael Lottman says:

What does it prove? It proves these polls can be biased or as even Donald Trump can see, “rigged,” and none of them should be trusted. These shoddy polls, with their façade of some mysterious expertise, can and do have a serious and distorting effect on the outcome of our elections. Unfortunately it is a free country, but if it wasn’t I would love to ban them within a month or two before the voting begins.
