Trump says he will visit Tennessee on Friday following deadly storm

President Donald Trump says he plans to visit Tennessee on Friday in the aftermath of a deadly storm that left at least 25 dead.

“I want to send my warm wishes to the great people of Tennessee in the wake of the horrible and very vicious tornado that killed at least 19 people and injured many more,” Trump said in remarks at the National Association of Counties meeting in Washington on Tuesday.

“It’s a vicious thing, those tornadoes, I’ve seen many of them over a three-year period and I’ve gotten to see the results and they are vicious,” Trump said. “If you’re in their path, bad things happen.”

I trust he will bring an ample supply of paper towels that he can toss to the natives like he did in Puerto Rico. He can also insult the Democratic mayor of Nashville like he did to the Democratic mayor of San Juan.

  • Stuart I. Anderson says:

This habit of insisting that our political leaders personally visit the scene of every natural disaster bringing with it the cost and disruption that entails does not show spiritual strength, rather it shows just the opposite. Stay in Washington and take care of our nation’s business Mr. President. We Tennesseans can clean up our debris, care for our wounded, and mourn for our dead without you – thanks anyway.

Stuart, this was, I’ll concede, your best blog contribution yet, and I will applaud you for it. But this President has never had a proclivity to EVER “stay in Washington and take care of the nation’s business.” He is too busy staying on twitter, tending to his vast personal business interests, golfing at Mar-a-Lago, or sucking up to Vladimir Putin in exchange for Russia’s continued involvement in our elections. Get real! Trump is in this game just for the tinker toys!

The chanting and howling types marching in their ”Knitted-Pink-Pu***-Hat” wearing types, including those like Stuart, are sooooo well known to just WHINE about Trump. It does NOT matter if they have their KPP Hat on … or if they are not modeling their KPP Hat, they WHINE about what ever Trump does or does not do that day. Everything Trump says. does or does NOT do is something to WHINE about !

Lets NOT be afraid to be honest,

IF …. Prez Trump didn’t visit TN after our State just experienced more deaths in 1 night than there are Americans in hospitals with Coronavirus …
THEN …. those like Stuart in their KPP Hats would be WHINING that Prez Trump didn’t come to TN !!

    #WHINERSareWHINERS …. No more… NO LESS

I will change my stance to pro-vouchers if people like this will be sent back to kindergarten.

      Well said Tim.

      • Phil Lassiter says:

Lance and Tim both maroons and really need to avoid keyboards Especially Lance, but Tim too.

        • MARLE says:

Did you mean macaroons? Those are good but not if you don’t like almonds or coconut.

Not sure what maroons are in this context.

Not a good look WHEN you are lecturing folks to stay away from the keyboard.

    • Stuart I. Anderson says:

Tim, Tim you are obviously paying way too much attention to the liberals in the media, academy, arts, government bureaucracy, news reporting . . .I guess it’s hard to ignore them but nevertheless they have got your body pumping out way too much sensitivity hormones. Please calmly read my response again. If you do you will find I commented about “political leaders” having to physically be present at the “. . .scene of every natural disaster. . . .” This wasn’t a Trumpcentric comment at all.

Of course, as a conservative I will be voting for Trump in November and there is little doubt that he will comfortably carry Tennessee. The action is in the First District Tim so please relax.

      • MARLE says:

Why doesn’t our fiscally prudent (?), devotee of Trump, Marsha tell him it isn’t necessary to waste taxpayer money showing up? B/c she couldn’t care less about prudence where spending is involved and it puts her in the limelight just where she loves to be.

        • James White says:

Marle, you are so funny, you know Marsha is a Big Spender herself. She even fly’s on our dime all over the world. And Votes for BIG spending bills.

        • Stuart I. Anderson says:

Those living in realville, rather than in perfectville where the goal is serial purposeless criticism, may be interested to know that the conservatives in Heritage Action give Marsha a lifetime score of 85%, the conservatives in the Club For Growth give her an 88%, while the conservatives in Freedom Works give her an 86%. The average Republican score in the Senate is 78%.

There comes a time when reasonable people know when good enough is, well, good enough. Marsha is much more than “good enough” and we conservatives are fortunate to have her as our Senator.

          • James White says:

Time after time … the Conservatives do most of the work and put up most of the money to elect exactly the man who is wanted in office by The Insiders. This is simply because the anti-Communists themselves do not have enough understanding to detect the false leadership which is being imposed upon them. Too late, most of these good patriots, in sad disillusionment, finally wake up to the fact that they have been had. Then they immediately fall in step behind the newest fast-talking and photogenic stooge of The Insiders, whom the Liberal press has built up with tons of publicity — even by attacking him mildly as a Conservative, to make his “image” convincing — for that very purpose.
            — Robert Welch, April 1968 John Birch Society Bulletin

          • MARLE says:

Why would it be a big deal to act responsibly and tell Trump that we’ve got this and it isn’t necessary to spend the money to come. Use it instead to pay down the debt.

That reaction is what should earn you a good heritage score. But of course heritage rating is about as reliable as an astrological sign in determining anything I, as a conservative, care about fixing.

          • James White says:

Male, have you not accepted the fact that Neither party want to reduce spending, much less pay off the Debt?
