Steve and his buddies want Casada at the helm in the house. Word is Gill and his cronies, one being Mayor Ogles, have a list of dirt on Casada and will be using that leverage to drive the House agenda via Casada. Remember barely two years ago Casada said he would find out who was behind RTP ( Rocky Top Politics) and run them out of town. This was mentioned by Casada when he gave his speech for Speaker at the Caucus meeeting. Well he is now in bed with them in an attempt to corral any votes he can. The web he is creating will only be a snare for him and it is too late to get out of it.

  • Timothy Skow says:

Good Lord Misty… YOU sound like the WHINY liberals squealing that there is some sort of ”Russian colluding” going on ! Perhaps you need to post a pic of you wearing your ”Knitted Pink P*** Hat” … Hahaha

  • James White says:

Casada is a poor legislator. He should resign. He voted FOR an Article V Constitutional Convention.

    • Eddie White says:

He was 1 of 59 TN house members and 23 TN state senators that voted for the Article 5 Convention. It was supported by Gov. Haslam and passed in several other southern states with conservative legislatures. I also see that the governor of Texas is supporting the same resolution as well as Mark Levin. Hardly a bunch of liberals. It appears to be an effort to limit the scope of the federal government and restore some sense of federalsim. Sounds like it might be a good idea.

      • James White says:

It is a terrible idea. Do you think that Soros and the Left will not have their finger in the pie? Do you think that any part of the constitution is safe? Do you like the 2nd amendment? It may be written out! They could rewrite the whole constitution. Why chance it?
        “I certainly would not want a Constitutional Convention. I mean whoa. Who knows what would come out of that?” (Justice Antonin Scalia;
        April 17, 2014)

        • Eddie White says:

Speaking of liberals, I see where Sen Kilabrand from New York and Sen Harris from California, have contributed a combined $15,000 to Phil Bredesen ‘s campaign…

        • Donna Locke says:

It seemed the theocrats were behind it, Mickey, and hoping to twist it to their aims, so I was suspicious of it, but the states do need to be able to protect themselves from the massive invasion our federal government has allowed, so I was interested–though doubtful of true wisdom entering into the process and content.

  • Donna Locke says:

    Casada or Hawk.

  • James White says:

    Tennessee Star ? hack!

  • Bob Miles says:

Rep Hawk is the true conservative running for speaker. Look at Casada’s voting record. He is RINO all the way. He was a Haslam and Harerll shill. He has donated lots of PAC money to the campaigns of Reps just to get their votes on him being speaker.

    • Donna Locke says:

Bob, I’m just going by my particular interests and what Casada and Hawk can be depended on to do, based on their long records.

  • Susan E Gingrich says:

Didn’t he duck out for the final vote on the IMPROVE ACT or do I have him confused with someone else? Casada, not Trump.
