LOL! Standing room capacity of Bessie Smith Cultural Center is at BEST 575 (looking at the Rent Our Facility website). The most careful camera angles in the world can’t create the essence of a devoted crowd! Bloomberg hasn’t got a chance against President Trump!

    • John says:

Well we all know that fat ass Trump won’t live through a second term without a second massive heart attack, so I don’t know why you’re laughing.

  • Mary says:

Mike Bloomberg has a great chance against President Trump. Bloomberg is a pragmatic moderate with a sense of decency and a vision of what our country can become.

As the mayor of New York for eight years, he did a lot of good. And when he screwed up, he was ready to admit it.

  • Not that Stuart guy says:

Bloomberg’s strategy is interesting, and only available to those who can buy themselves a nice election. Bigger than his candidacy however, is his investment in organizing infrastructure in TN. Long after his candidacy fades and the Dems nominate someone less likely to beat Trump, that investment will pay dividends down the road and down the ballot for Dems in Tennessee. A little less getting made fun of for our stance on bulk tampon purchases and “fake news” book reviews will better serve us all.

  • MARLE says:

Warren and Bernie want to tax the Accumulated Wealth of those who have amassed a fortune over the decades from tax loopholes like
    1) the 1031 Real Estate exchange (Zero tax rate for profits reinvested, but only available for those from RE development),
    2) Carried Interest which basically treats Commissions from Hedge Fund deals, not at the marginal rate of other Commission income, but at the lower 20% Cap gain rate
    3) and a SLEW of other loopholes specific to certain industries and too great in number to mention

Bloomberg wants to allow that wealth to remain unmolested (which of course includes his own). Instead he wants to raise marginal rates, the cap gain rate, remove loopholes Going Forward.

In other words Bloomberg, having secured his own wealth in the “salad days of the Tax Code” is now the 600 LB gorilla stomping on the head of those trying to climb the ladder.

The Big money is in the Tax Free Foundations.

      • MARLE says:

Presicely…like the foundations Buffet set up for his sister and each of his 3 children funding them with 10’s of Millions. Hoping at least Bloomberg will spell out the ways in which the Trump 2017 Tax Plan benefited him. Remember Trump saying that the plan “will not help me, not one penny”.

        • MARLE says:

Trump is the only rich person in America not helped by that plan. Why lie about such an obvious thing. He really is pathological~ and “no”; you don’t have to examine him in person to know this.

          • Phil Lassiter says:

Trump only thing keeping the wolves away. That’s the one thing everyone knows in their DNA-even if you can’t admit it

          • John says:

going to keep the wolves away when he can’t keep his bucket of fried chicken away every morning? Have you seen his fat gut and terrible skin? He’s almost 80 years old. I have more chance hitting the jackpot at his bankrupt casino then he has living another year.
