Internal polling by Democratic candidate Phil Bredesen’s campaign suggests the race with Republican Marsha Blackburn remains tight.

According to pollster Garin-Hart-Young, Blackburn had the support of 48% of Tennesseans in two early October polls, while Bredesen had 47%. That’s after more than $20 million in negative attacks aimed at Bredesen or supporting Blackburn. The internal pollster found the same level of support for Bredesen in a September survey, through Blackburn’s support had grown by 3 percentage points since then.

The polling site gives Garin-Hart-Young a B-plus rating. The internal Bredesen numbers are at odd with recent public polls that suggest a widening lead for Blackburn (+6 by Fox News, +8 by CBS, +14 by the New York Times).

Suspect the same poll says that TRUMP’s approval / disapproval ratings in TN are 49 / 48.
Come on people ! HAHAHAHA ! The one polling number the Bredesen pollsters got right was TN votes were well over 70% in favor of Kavanaugh being confirmed. Its why Phil drug his feet soooo long before his lame support of Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

  • MarLE says:

The Kavanaugh ordeal broke Marsha’s way. Democrat mob antics coupled with the highlighted importance the senate plays in SCOTUS confirmations should have galvanized Trump’s 26% vote-margin voters to a landslide. Add to that the Bredesen crowd strategy, caught on tape, of misrepresentation and calling TN voters “ignorant” … on earth can this race be even remotely close?

  • Silence Dogood says:

If you are selling political tv and radio ads and want Chuck Schumer’s money and fat commissions, the polls needs to be close. Dem’s lie to donors to steal their money. Big money knows they have lost, of course. They are stealing small donor money now. Use that money to buy rocks for Antifa to throw at police officers and fire fighters.

    • MarLE says:

It isn’t just Dems who misrepresent the closeness of the race. Republicans do this too. Did you watch the Mayor’s race in Nashville?

I did. Sorry if I left the impression this is a Democrat tactic. It is a political tactic. I just dislike the bold face lies of Bredesen and the absolute crap coming out of his campaign offices so much my head wants to explode. Every time his commercials come on I feel like I need to use Windex on my TV screen to get it clean again. A lonely old man lying to this state that honored him so much. Phil, go play with your great grand kids and leave us alone!!
