As Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn makes a big media push about what she calls a “liberal angry mob” for disrupting a weekend rally with U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), an independent group called the Black Progressive Action Coalition has jumped into the contest, spending more than $2.7 million on canvassing and direct mail in its support of Democrat Phil Bredesen.

Early voting has been highest so far in Shelby and Davidson counties, the state’s largest in terms of overall and African-American populations. Bredesen will need to carry both counties by large margins and also peel off traditionally Republican voters in other parts of the state in order to win next week’s election. Blackburn’s efforts will be focused on trying to prevent Republicans who gave President Donald Trump a 26-point victory in Tennessee in 2016 from crossing over to support Bredesen.

Total spending by outside groups had topped $46 million through Tuesday morning. That total includes $26 million spent by Republican-aligned groups: $19.7 million to attack Bredesen and $6.3 million to support Blackburn. Out of the $20.1 million spent by Democratic groups, $15 million has gone toward opposing Blackburn, while $5.1 has gone toward supporting Bredesen.

Here’s a breakdown of the biggest outside spenders so far:

I’m afraid until there are serious consequences for people who disrupt political gatherings and the functioning of government in the form of fines and jail time which increase in severity with each repeated offense our politics will more and more resemble those of the Weimar Republic in Germany before the Nazi takeover. Despite the fact that the mob’s behavior clearly benefits Republicans this disorderly lawlessness that frequently goes unpunished is simply not good for our country and it inspires sociopaths to even more extreme acts of violence.

I remember that Marsha “Deep State” Blackburn used to have her town halls at the town hall or other public places. Then We started passing out her voting record and then she started ONLY having them at Private (property) events. Perhaps she should stick to that.
